Manmohan to be ousted: Shinde to be PM
NEWDELHI: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is on his way out. The Sonia Gandhi clan will oust Manmohan immediately after the Assembly elections scheduled for April-May to the states of Assam, Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. It is reported that except in Assam, Congress will be decimated in all the remaining states. “ Sonia Gandhi wants a trustworthy poodle to be the next Prime Minister. And Sushil Kumar Shinde fits all the requirements. He has been told to be ready for the coronation,†said a senior politician who has strong relations with the Congress leaders.
The relation between Manmohan and Sonia Gandjhi has suffered a set back following Singh’s reluctance to obey certain commands issued by the Congress President. “ Manmohan always makes fun of an illiterate Sonia and this was made known to her by her spies in the PM’s office,†said this politician. It is also reported that Manmohan’s wife and Sonia Gandhi too fell out because of the latter’s frequent mid-night telephone calls to the PM,†said this leader who does not want his name to be published.
The selection of Shinde is obvious because he does not have a standing of his own. “Shivraj Patil would have made the grade but Sonia does not trust him because of his proximity with Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa and Union Minister Sharad pawar,†said the leader.
