Mamata Banerjee on respiratory support
KOLKATA: Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, on a hunger strike for 23 days on the Singur issue, took ill and was put on respiratory support even as Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee ruled out going back on the Tatas’ project.
Banerjee was put on oxygen support following breathing trouble after her condition further deteriorated today and her family doctors examined her at the site where she is holding a sit-in.
A team of doctors is continuously monitoring her condition.
