Mahesh Bhatt’s Code?

via HK Correspondent published on June 2, 2006

MUMBAI: Remember Mahesh Bhatt? The director who made ‘Ashique’, Arth and a host of off beat films which became instant hits with the viewers. Once he lost the media touch, Bhatt turned to the most profitable business in India. He joined the Human Rights Industry and declared his secular credentials by abusing the Hindus at each and every occasion. The less one speaks about his personal life, the better. But let’s leave it to him.. After all it’s his own life.

Whenever there is a communal riot, this ‘great movie maker’ makes an appearance in TV screens and Page Three columns along with high society vamps like Brinda Karat and Teesta Setalwad abusing various Hindu organizations. Mahesh Bhatt is a staunch proponent of ‘free sex’. Well, Bhatt is back in action… He has filed a petition in the Supreme Court to give direction to the Gujarat Police for providing security to theatres that are willing to show the Amir Khan movie Fanaa.   But why this Bhatt fellow is not approaching the Supreme Court against the ban imposed on the film Da Vinci Code by various ‘secular’ states like AP, TN, Punjab etc? Is it that Bhatt does not want the world to know his Christian lineage?
