Mahajan architect of BJP-Sena alliance:Saamna

The Siva Sena has said today that the loss of Pramod Mahajan was irreplaceable as he was the architect of the BJP’s alliance with the Siva Sena in Maharashtra.

Paying rich tributes to the late BJP leader the Siva Sena in an editorial in its mouthpiece ‘Saamna’ said “We will strive hard to maintain the ties between Sena and BJP, which we have held so far due to an ideology.” It considered the Late Mahajan as the architect of the BJP’s alliance with the Sena, it said.

The newspaper edited by the Sena Supremo Bal Thackeray said “no other leader would be able to occupy his (Mahajan) place in our heart . Only time would tell who takes the place of this Lakshman of BJP in that party in the state and the country. 

“Vajpayee may have called him Lakshman, but for us, he was the Hanuman, who thwarted all dangers”, the editorial said. “The fame that Mahajan got during his lifetime…he got several times more fame after his death”, the paper said adding “We are not hungry for power. Till the time BJP does not discard the Hindutva agenda to a corner, we will remain with them as a Hindutva friend”.
