New Delhi: Thousands of BJP activists from different parts of the Nation joined its mass rally in New Delhi to protest against the spiralling prices of essential commodities.
BJP MP’s on Wednesday boycotted the Lok Sabha proceedings to join its mass rally in New Delhi to protest against the spiralling prices of essential commodities.
BJP leader and Leader of the Opposition Sushma Swaraj, who addressed the house before the start of question hour, slammed the government’s “wrong policies” for the price rise and said BJP MPs were joining the “lakhs and lakhs of people” who had come from all over the country for the protest.
“Price rise is not an outcome of any natural calamity, it is the outcome of the wrong policies of the government,” Swaraj said in her two-minute speech.
According to the BJP leaders an estimated 300,000 people is expected to gather at the Ramlila Maidan for the rally.
As per plan some 10,000 BJP activists will proceed towards the Jantar Mantar through Jawaharlal Nehru Marg.
The rally, which is the biggest mass rally held by the party so far under Gadkari’s leadership, will mark the culmination of the protests held in other states by the party against price rise.
