Life term for killing cows in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal : The Madhya Pradesh government is all set to amend law on cow slaughter. As per the amended law if any one kill cows in the state may get punishment of maximum 14 years in jail. At present the maximum punishment for killing cows in the state is three years. The government  also decided to change the law on transportation of cows in the state. Now a permit will be required from the district authorities before the cows can be moved from any district.


 


In an another development the state Education Minister said that the government will not allow state nursery schools singing western influence songs. The government has already replaced six popular nursery rhymes like twinkle, twinkle little star and ba ba block sheep with Indian rhymes in English textbooks. The Education Minister said that there is no need to continue with western rhymes when there were Indian rhymes around to infuse a sense of patriotism.
