Land Reforms led temples to destruction: Vellappilly

The land reforms being brought in byCommunists has led Hindu temples to destruction, said SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappilly Natesan. He was addressing the audience while receiving the Bhishmacharya Award constituted by Payyannurkavu devi Temple, Thalavadi.

Those who prepared the Land reforms Bill never gave a thought to how funds for daily rituals in a temple would be met, while encroaching temple land and properties. When temples have no income, it is evident that they start decaying, which went on to complete destruction. Hindus don’t even get what they deserve. There is scope for survival only for those who worm their way into the inner most recesses of power and grab their rights from the government. I don’t nurture dreams of entering Parliament, hence I have no qualms in speaking the truth,” said Vellappilly Natesan.
