K’taka HC slams Muslim Minister & CM who dictated in Temple management

The Karnataka High Court passed verbal strictures against the state government, with specific reference to infrastructure minister R Roshan Baig and chief minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday, criticising them for “dictating” the names of members of the development board for the historic Someshwara temple in Ulsoor. 

High Court Justice AN Venugopala Gowda said that courts “cannot allow politicians to convert public property in to their private property.” The observation came during the arguments over a batch of petitions challenging the appointment of a ‘development committee’ to the temple.
