New Delhi : The Prayer and Peace circle, India Heritage Panel, Society of Community Journalists and International Trade Front have alleged nepotism in the selection of the awardees for the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awards which was conferred in recent Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2008.

The award was rejected to Indo-American leader, Rajan Zed, who was the first person to read a Hindu prayer from Sanskrit scriptures in the United States Senate on July 12, 2007 but was given to Two US based Keralite Evangelists Thomas Abraham (For his contributions for some unknown NRI-PIO movement in US) and Joy Cherian. (Founder of the Indian American Forum for Political Education to support Sonia’s Congress)

The award was conferred to these two Evangelists for their role in opposing Narendra Modi’s US visit and with the help of US Evangelists, Anti National Jihadis and Leftists by influencing US authorities.
The official guidelines were not completely followed and the organisations said that they will inspect documents, records and will also access information through the Right to Information Act to find out the basis on which the awardees were decided.
