“Considering the magnitude of the crime, nature and enormity of the allegations, character of evidence on record and the apprehension that the witnesses may be influenced in case the accused are released on bail, I have no hesitation in holding that both applicants/accused have failed to make out a prima facie case for bail,” the special judge said while considering the bail application of Kanimozhi and Sharathkumar, managing director of Kalaignar TV Private Ltd.

“Bail applications are without merit and the same are dismissed,” the court said in its 144-page order brushing aside her lawyer Ram Jethamalani’s arguments that urged for chivalry — she being a woman.Both of them faces the charge of conspiracy and bribery in accepting `200 crore from Shahid Balwa-linked companies in connection with spectrum allocation.

Kalaignar TV got money transferred to them via so called  Socio-cultural organisation Tamizh Maiyam which is in the forefront of subversive anti National activities. This organisation is co-headed by Father Jagath Gasper Raj along with Kannimozhi. He was the main man behind Christianisation of LTTE and using them against India. He made millions by exploiting the sufferings of  Tamils in Srilanka.
