Kalaignar TV received funds from the ISI– Dr. Subramanian Swamy

Statement of Dr. Subramanian Swamy,President of the Janata Party.

I welcome the Supreme Court direction to Government to set up a Special Court exclusively for 2G Spectrum Scam. This is necessary for fast tracking the conviction of those who are involved in perpetrating and conspiring to assist the former Telecom Minister A. Raja in this horrenduous crime of depriving the nation of Rs. 1.76 lakhs crores and decamping with Rs.60,000 crores as bribe money to foreign countries.

 The CBI also must not just merely complain to the Supreme Court that the Kalaignar TV is not co-operating because of its connection with a political party in the ruling UPA coalition, viz., DMK.  The CBI must therefore in view of the non-cooperation following the Criminal Procedure Code and arrest all the directors of the Kalaignar TV to conduct custodial interrogation into how they received funds from the ISI-controlled Etisalat Telecom Company.  If the CBI gets cold feet on this matter because the Kalaignar TV has the support of Tamilnadu Chief Minister, then I will move an Interlocutory Application in the Supreme Court seeking specific direction to the CBI to perform its statutory duty.
