via HK published on January 4, 2011

Srinagar : JKLF Terrorist leader Muhammad Yasin Malik challenged the Bhartiya Yuva Morcha , youth wing of BJP for its plans to hoist the Tri-color in Lal Chowk here on January 26. He was addressing a seminar organised by separatists here.

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha National President Shri Anurag Thakur will start Rashtriya Ekta Yatra from Kolkata on 12th January 2011 for the unity and integrity of the Nation. Passing through different states the Yatra will reach Srinagar where at Lal Chowk Sh. Anurag Thakur will hoist the National Flag on 26th January 2011. Youth from different parts of the country will participate in the event.

Kashmir is passing through a phase of disturbances for last six months. Law and order machinery has collapsed in Kashmir. Separatist forces are trying to create disturbances in Kashmir at the behest of Pakistan. The chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir is questioning the accession of the State to India. The separatists are throwing challenges to the sovereignty of India moving around the country. Central government has appointed three interlocutors whose language and agenda are no different than that of the separatists.

Yuva Morcha believes that UPA government at the centre and National Conference government in the State are responsible for the current situation in Kashmir. Strong action should be taken against the separatists. But the government is pursuing a soft policy which is unfortunate.

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha is a nationalist youth organization of the country. We believe that the problem of Kashmir is the problem of entire nation. In the last four months 39 public meetings were held in 18 states under India First Campaign. Nationwide Sankalp Divas were organized at district level on 26 October 2010 commemorating the accession of Kashmir.

Rashtriya Ekta Yatra

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha will start the Rashtriya Ekta Yatra form Kolkata because it is the land of Swami Vivekanand, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee. This yatra will start from the janamsthali of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee and finally conclude at his balidansthali from Yuva Divas (12 January 2011) to Republic Day (26 January 2011). Around 150 public meetings will be organized in the course of yatra. The family of the martyrs will also be honoured at different places in the course of yatra.

Respect for the National Flag

It is very unfortunate that our national flag is insulted in India. The situation is such that in many places in Kashmir our national flag is not hoisted. BJYM has decided to challenge the separatists by hoisting the national flag in Lal Chowk, Srinagar.

On 25 January 2011 a massive public meeting will be organized in Jammu in which lakhs of Yuva Morcha karyakartas will participate. On 26 January 2011 tricolour will be hoisted at Lal Chowk, Srinagar.

BJYM Demands:
• Kashmir problem should not be seen as communal problem. All political parties should rise above partisan politics considering it as a national problem.
• Government should shun soft approach and strongly convey the message to the separatists that everything will take place under constitution.
• Article 370 should be abrogated.
• Armed Force Special Power Act should be left untouched.
• Indian parliament had passed a unanimous resolution resolving to take back Pak occupied Kashmir. Government should initiate immediate steps to honour the resolution.
• Safe, secure and exploitation free life should be assured for the Kashmiri youths.
• The Kashmiri pandits forced to leave Kashmir should be honourably rehabilitated in Kashmir.
We believe that entire Kashmir belongs to India and entire India belongs to Kashmiris. The anguish and pain of Kashmir is shared by the entire nation. Youth will have to march to attend to the call of Maa Bharati. Every Indian should realize his national duty to save Kashmir.
