Indian Jawan Killed by Bangladesh Rifles
Kolkata: Rajendra Kumar Sharma Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was killed in Bangladesh border by Bangladesh Riflesnear Basirhat on Monday.
Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) opened indiscriminate fire on Indian Jawans while they were Patrolling in Icchamati river, which flows along the border, when the incident occurred.
The BSF patrol party, which was well inside the Indian territory, came under unprovoked fire from the BDR from the border outpost of Padmashankar, which resulted in the death of Sharma.
Sharma was seriously injured and died on his way to a hospital,” senior BSF officials said.
