Malappuram: From Mounathul Islama Sabha in Ponnani 783 Non Muslims converted to Islam in between 2008 October 1 and 2009 September 30.
Among this
Kerala – 589
Thailand – 139
Karnataka- 46
Maharashtra – 4
Orissa-3
West Bengal – 2
Majority of those converted are Hindus and rest from Christianity.
This includes many girls who were trapped by Jihadi Romeos.
These stats are only from one Conversion centre , like this conversion is carried out in various other centres in the country.
