Maybe Hinduism did not treat the Dalits properly, but that was the social order of the times. Remember even a Dalit could order a Kshatriya to fight and protect him. He could order a Brahmin to do pooja for him.
Confront your Missionaries and ask them whether they will accept a Dalit as their Pope ? Will they accept a African  as their Pope ?
