Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has set up an organization for women with an aim to awaken ‘Dharma Tej’ in them, to make them realise the gravity of atrocities against them and to prevent them from blindly copying western culture. The first branch of this organization would be opened on 3rd June, Wednesday, this being the martyr day of Rani Lakshmibai. The program will be held at Hutatma Smruti Mandir at 5.00 p.m. Guidance has been arranged for women on the topic of “Hindu young women, do not be feeble and be Ranaraginis” by Shri. Ramesh Shinde, the spokesperson of HJS for Maharashtra State made an appeal to all devout Hindus and women in a press conference held here to attend the program along with their family members in large number.

The press conference held at ‘Shramik Patrakar Sangh’ was attended by famous social worker and ‘pravachankar’ Mrs. Aparna Ramteerthkar, Mrs. Rajashree Tiwari, district organiser of ‘Ranaragini’ branch, Dr. Avinash Kashid, district coordinator of HJS for Marathwada and Solapur among others. Shri. Shinde said, “Smt. Himani Savarkar, the president of all-India Hindu Mahasabha would attend the program and will guide the participants in her intense and fiery manner.”

Besides, Mrs. Aparna Ramteerthakar and Mrs. Rajashree Tiwari present for the press conference so also Shri. Ramesh Shinde would give guidance on the occasion. The supreme Hindu Dharma has given us heroic women like Rajmata Jijau, Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi, Punyashlok Ahilyabai Holkar so also sages like Gargi and Maitreyi. Many women revolutionaries took part in the freedom fight; but today’s women seem to have forgotten their Dharma and have become feeble in the name of modernism. There have been many instances of women getting cheated for conversion. To make people understand the seriousness of these incidents, to train women to protect themselves from lustful vultures existing in society and to free them of fear, an independent branch is being opened by HJS as ‘Ranaragini’, informed Shri. Shinde.

‘Ranaragini’ set up at Panvel

Panvel (Maharashtra): On the occasion of martyr day of Rani Lakshmibai on Saturday, 30th May, a meeting of women was organized at Gokhale Hall. In this meeting, an organization named ‘Ranaragini’ affiliated to HJS was set up to help women in getting justice against oppression. The meeting was attended by about 50 women including advocate Amruta Naik and Mrs. Chhaya Balasaheb Patil. Smt. Jayashree Bhalerao said while explaining the objective of setting up this organization that there are constant attacks on Hindu Dharma.

A news item was published in ‘Daily Sanatan Prabhat ‘ of 27th December 2008 about a ‘fatwa’ to convert Hindu girls and collect Rs.200/- for the same. The government is, however, not doing anything to prevent oppression of Hindu women. Therefore, this organization has been set up to facilitate Hindu women to fight against injustice, to develop ‘Kshatra Tej’ in them and unite Hindu women.
