Dear Sir,
Â
Â
Hindu Janjagruti Samiti is registered NGO doing social, religious and National welfare work. Samiti has been formed by devoted Hindus doing voluntary charitable work. Samiti is active throughout India and educating people about Dharma in scientific way, campaigning against malpractices done under religious practices and solving problems connected with National, Religious and social field.
It is understood that a movie produced and directed by Shri. Mani Ratnam named Ravana is releasing on 19th June, 2010 which is censored and passed by your office. The concept and subject is highly objectionable to Hindus .It shows Sitamai falling in love with Ravana, it is really paining to many people who worship Sree Rama and Sita as god. Rama is an ideal role model for many Hindus.
Ramayana is Dharmagranth of Hindus. Mahavishnu has taken an avathar in form of Hindu king and taught us how a person should live with modesty, humbleness, and  righteousness. He also taught to fight adharma without any fear, even in troubled times.
The film Ravana gives the message that Sita is in love with Ravana that is really condemnable, and will hurt the religious sentiments of millions of Hindus; It is an attempt to hurt the religious sentiments. The producer as well as Censor Board will not dare to hurt religious sentiments of Muslims and Christians.
Â
We here by request you, to immediately stop screening and release of the film Ravana , as it is hurting religious sentiments of millions of Hindus. We therefore request you to take the note of this and record our protest in the matter. We had written many letters earlier to stop and control the denigration of Hindu deities and Hindu Dharma. Regret to state that no suitable action was taken by the Censor Board in spite of our peaceful protests.
We would like to bring to your that this movie is going to hurt religious sentiments of Hindus resulting in nationwide protest against the movie as well as to the censor board who passed the film.
Please acknowledge receipt. Please inform us the action being taken in the matter and oblige.
Thanking You,
Yours Truly
Shivaji Vatkar,
Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.
