Hindus inspite of political affiliation unite to stop Missionary Activities in a School

Madnoor(Nizamabad, Andhra Pradesh Dist.) : For a longtime The Karmel Public School at Madnoor (A.P.) has been continuing Missionary Activities through its School. The School has strength of 400 students, most of them Hindus. The school is run by the Christ for India Movement (CFIM). The website of the CFIM says that the school is run for the poor, needy, handicapped and orphans. Also the website requests for Donation from NRI Christians saying that CFIM runs this school for non-Christian children to teach the LOVE OF JESUS and gives free education, whereas in reality the School management asks for High amount of Fees from the parents. None of the students are orphan or handicapped. Most of the Madnoor Businessmen, Agriculturists and Industrialists students study here.

Secondly the school advises students to avoid using Vermillion Tilak on forehead, Girls should not wear bangles. Christian prayers are being made compulsory in the morning.

A signature campaign was conducted by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti at the HINDU DHARMASABHA in Madnoor on 14 November. More than 400 people signed the memorandum which had the following demands –

1. There should be no evangelical prayers in the school.
2. There should be no ban on wearing bangles or applying Kumkum.
3. School management should stop making false claims through its website or stop taking fees from parents.

A memorandum of the same and signatures as well as the printed version of the website was handed over to the Madnoor Tahasildar by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.

BJP District leader Mr. Srinivas Kamshettivar, BJP leader Mr. Ramesh Seth Tammevar, Congress leader Mr. U. Krishna Goud, Congress Town secretary Mr. C. Hanumandlu Swamy, Mogha village Sarpanch Mr. Rama Goud, Mr. Rajendra Pendkar, Mr. Rajesh Kakani, Mr. Dhirendra Biyani, Venkatesh Ushakelwar, Santosh Gangishettyvar and Mr. Subodh & Mr. Vinayak Shanbhag of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti were present during handing over of the memorandum. Most of the major Print and Electronic mediapersons were present during the programme.

The Tahasildar immediately took action and went to the School within an hour of issuing the memorandum. He said that a copy of the memorandum and the action taken will be sent to the district collector within 24 hours and HJS will be told of the action taken.

A copy of the memorandum was also sent to Nizamabad Urban MLA Mr. Yendala Lakshminarayana and BJP state leader Mr. Kishan Reddy. Mr. Kishan Reddy who is also the BJP floor leader in AP assembly said over phone that he would take up the issue in Assembly in question hour.
