Hindu Samajotsav Paints City Saffron

Mangalore Jan 28:  The initiation of the Hindu Samajotsav to commemorate the birth centenary of RSS Sarsangha Sanchalak Madhava Sadashiv Golvalkar, took place in Mangalore today with the offering of flowers to a photograph of Bharath Maatha by Rasthtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Sarakaryavaha, Mohanjee Bhagavat.



The program was then inaugurated with Mr. Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat giving the keynote address.  Mr. Mohan Alva welcomed the gathering.


Speaking on the occasion, Rasthtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Sarakaryavaha, Mohanjee Bhagavat said that our society was facing a lot of problems and these problems could be overcome if the younger generation gets more involved and fights against the conversion process.



“The country is facing uninterrupted terrorism, conversion and threats to the unity and integrity of the Hindu community,” he said.


“There was an urgent need for awakening and show of strength to the world through unity since we have forgotten our strength and fall prey of our own weaknesses,” he added.



Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math, said the society should declare that there was no space for untouchability.


“If the backward classes developed, it will be possible to the develop of the Hindu society,” he said.


More than a lakh people converged at the Nehru Maidan from various places around Mangalore.



Adichunchanagiri Mutt seer Balagangadharanatha Swami, Pejawarmutt seer Vishweshateertha Swami, Kolya seer Ramananda Swami, Jangamutt seer Shivaprakash Swami, Vajradehimutt seer Rajashekaranada Swami, Sridhama, Manila seer Mohanadas Swami, Sri Kshetra Kemaru seer Eeshavittaldas Swami, Satyanarayanapura Yogishwaramutt seer Muktananda Swami, Kadri seer Sandhyanathaji, Sri Samsthana Anegundi seer Kalahasthendra Saraswathi Swami and Sri Gurukrupa Sevashram, Hosmaru seer Vikhyatananda Swami were present on the occasion.


Dy CM B S Yediyurappa, D V Sadananda Gowda, Ex-minister Dhananjayakumar and all MLAs were also present.
