Hindu Sadvi Vs Christian Nun – Why the law taking a discriminatory course
Disturbing course
http://newstodaynet.com/newsindex.php?id=11974%20&%20section=13
It is more than three weeks since Sadvi Pragya has been arrested for allegedly masterminding the Malegon blasts of September. Since then, the ‘secular’ brigade including a section of the mainstream media has been going berserk on ‘Hindu Terrorism’ and ‘Saffron Terrorism’. The ‘secular’ brigade is so prejudiced that they have deliberately forgotten to debate and report about the Assam serial blasts, which was one of the severest in the last four and half years of UPA’s utter misrule.
Â
In Sadvi’s case, she has been under police custody, subjected to lie-detecting, brain-mapping, narco-analysis and forensic tests. But despite all that, the police are still to nail her, and her innocence seems to be slowly and steadily getting established. Now, the Court has sent her to judicial custody and the police are going to subject her again under narco-analysis. After the court’s sending her to judicial custody, suddenly some ‘eye-witnesses’ are produced through ‘media-leaks’ in regard to her alleged conversation with the main accused Ramji! Had the police been able to get at least a small ‘thread’ of evidence from the Sadvi, for her involvement in the blasts, from earlier tests conducted on her, there would be some justification in extending her custody and subjecting her for second round of narco-tests. But, as there was not even an iota of evidence against her, the Court could have released her at least on conditional bail. It might be recalled that in the 2006 Malegon blasts, the investigations started with the alleged involvement of Hindu outfits and finally landed at the doors of SIMI.
Â
In fact, the ‘Saffron Terror’ was invented in Kandhamal, Orissa, when the native ST Kandhas involved in a conflict with the converted SC Panas. A social conflict was turned into a communal strife by the Christian militants and their hired Maoists by murdering a Hindu Swamiji along with his four disciples including a Sadvi. Immediately after the retaliatory attacks by the tribal Kandhas, the ‘secular’ brigade coined the term ‘saffron terror’ and since then the vituperative campaign has been going on.
Â
To make matters worse, a Christian nun was brought into the picture claiming that she was raped by a ‘saffron mob’ of 30 to 40 people. After making the allegation she absconded and the Church and the Catholics demanded a CBI probe and approached the SC for the same. Despite the Supreme Court refusing to sanction a CBI enquiry and asking her to cooperate with Orissa police in identifying the rapists from among the apprehended persons, she has not bothered to honour the SC’s directions. Instead she is giving sob stories through the media.
Â
Till date the Orissa police have not bothered to arrest the nun on charges of contempt of court. Her refusal to cooperate with the Orissa police leaves the room open for conjectures. The Padhire, who has been with her for quite sometime till the date of crime, and who has been actively taking part in TV debates maligning the Hindu outfits, has also not helped the police in identifying the culprits. In this context, both of them (Padhire & Nun) need to be subjected to lie-detector and brain-mapping tests.
Â
A simple comparison of the two cases (Hindu Sadvi & Christian Nun) conveys a lot of meaning and the squalid state of affairs in the UPA government. The Law would take its own course, they say, but the law should not take such a discriminatory course in a Democracy!
