Karnavati (Ahmedabad) :Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today said the Hindu ideology can counter terrorism which is a major threat to the world at present. Speaking at the inaugural function of the ”Vishwa Sangh Shibir” here, Mr Modi said environmental poblems and terrorism are the two major threats faced by the world. The Hindu ideology provides for equality of all religions and carries the message of a united world which can help tide over the threat of terrorism, he said. He said the world has to accept this reality. ”In ancient Bharat, we had adopted the worship of trees to conserve them.” If we follow this, we can maintain the environmental balance.” Mr Modi claimed Gujarat had made tremendous progress because of his government’s good governance. This was a fitting reply to those who were trying to tarnish the image of the state, he added.

The Vishwa Sangh Shibir has been organised by the Hindu Swaymsevak Sangh and around 500 representatives from across the world are participating in the camp which will conclude on January 2, 2006.
