Help a Malaysian Hindu Woman with your signature
To:Â Prime Minister of Malaysia
Bangaramma (27) a Malaysian citizen, was registered in a Government children home as a Muslim when she was a minor and she was barely aware of it. However throughout her life she has been a Hindu and eight years ago she married a Hindu in a Hindu temple. Now the government of Malaysia is refusing to register her marriage and also refusing to acknowledge the fatherhood of her husband to their children.
Now Bangaramma is threatened with the charge of apostasy which in the Islamic state of Malaysia means she would be forcefully separated from her children (aged 2 and 7) and her husband and she would be subjected to immense psychological tortures.
Hence we the undersigned request His Excellency the Prime Minister of Malaysia, His Excellency the Prime Minister of India and Her Excellency the President of India to intervene and restore the right of Bangaramma to live as a Hindu, recognize her wedding which took place according to ancient Vedic rites and the right of the couple to bring up their children in Hindu tradition.
We also request the humanity at large to register their support for Bangaramma in the Malaysian diplomatic missions in your respective states.
Sincerely,
The Undersigned
