Haindava Symbols, irks Karunanidhi

Mr. Karunanidhi’s rationale as to why Hindus should put tilak on forehead and wear sacred thread since all religions are considered equal in India defies logic. But at the same time betrays his anti-hindu bias. Of course he will never ask as to why Moslems resort to circumcision or Christians wears a cross since India considers all religions equal?

If you recall this is the same person who wanted to ban all Sanskirt prayers in our temples and only Tamil be said. He did not ask Catholics to change their liturgy from Latin to Tamil nor ask Moslems to offer namaz in Tamil but not in Arabic.

For such people explaining the significance of Tilak or sacred thread is useless. He will also never admit or understand that despite being devout Hindus wearing tilak and sacred threads whether it was Vijayanagar kings or  their deputies , the Zamorins in Kerala have accorded all due respect to non-Hindu religions. It is only ilk of Karunanidhi who do not show any respect to Hindus or Hindu sentiments despite India respecting all religions as equal. And they are the ones who do not wear any Tilak or sacred thread.

Only thing they understand is language of strength, both political and in streets. After all it was only due to such strength acquired by Hindu organizations over last five decades, his ilk has stopped taking Ganesha and Rama pictures in street processions to be beaten with chapals and broken in public. They used to parade Sankaracharya pictures with garland of shoes. Such excesses have stopped not because they have developed any wisdom but fear of repercussions.

May Rama continue to give such strength to Hindus and Hindu organizations .
