published on June 17, 2013

Munnoka Samudaya Samrakshana Munnani president Akeeraman Kalidasa Bhattathiripad has said that the attitude of the government towards members of the Hindu community is distressing. The statement was made during the inauguration of the organization’s state activists’ convention in Ernakulam.

“The stand taken by the government by not granting members of the Hindu community, the consideration they deserve. The result is that they are being isolated in all sectors. Hindus have to think beyond the barriers of caste to ensure that justice is meted out to them,” said Akeeraman Kalidasa Bhattathiripad.

“We are not asking for members of the other community to be pushed to the background. All we seek is the assurance of members of the Hindu community the representation they rightly deserve,” he added.

The key note address was rendered by eminent poet Rameshan Nair. “We currently have a governance that facilitates the destruction of Hindus, in a sugar coated way,” he said.

“Things have reached a stage where the Hindu community has to give money to the government to get back their temple property. At the same, it is evident and apparently noticeable that members of the Christian and Muslim community are being provided land magnanimously for their churches and mosques,” he said.

“It is Islamization and Christianization in all sectors. In order to make the protest against the government’s authority over Hindu places of worship, we need to unite, overcoming all barriers of caste. Only then will the Kshetra Vimochana Smaram be a success,” he exhorted.

Soe of the eminent personalities who graced the occasion were chairman of the felicitators section Ramachandran, Retd. Judge Santhakumari Menon, PG Sasikumar Varma, KC Manavarma Raja, NE Bhaskara Marar, KPK Menon.
