Gopal Vinayak Godse passed away

Gopal Vinayak Godse,86,  an active member of Hindu Mahasabha and younger brother of Nathuram Godse,passed away at Pune yesterday. He is survived by his wife Sindhu Godse, a son and two daughters.The deceased had served life imprisonment in the Mahatma Gandhi assassination case and was in Ambala, Nasik and Aurangabad Central jails..


After his release Shri Gopal Godse took to writing first on the episode and then on other subjects. His Marathi books have been translated into some other regional languages and in English.


He had done  research on the historic monuments wrongly said to have been built by the Muslim or Mugal Sultans. His endeavor is to show that the buildings had been built much earlier in accordance with the principles laid down in different books on the science of Hindu architecture and engineering, and that they had been disfigured by the Sultans to make it appear that they were built by them.
