GOI’s Pakistan Diplomacy overshadowed “Kargil Vijay Diwas”

26th of July marked the 12th anniversary of “Kargil Vijay Diwas”. A day when the nation stands united in greeting & saluting the martyrs & brave sons of soil (soldiers) who fiercely fought an enemy Pakistan to safe guard our Nation. Many in the print media , especially the local vernaculars paid rich tributes to the Martyrs while the MSM was found wanting. What has been surprising was that the Prime Minister & the President didnt even find time to lay a wreath at the memorial of the martyrs today. There have been 16 press releases on Press Information Bureau by the GOI & sadly not even one mentioned Kargil in those. This is how much our todays government at the center led by UPA/Congress remembers & respects the soldiers of this country. As all are aware that the Kargil war took place during the BJP led NDA regime. Is it for this reason that this UPA government has chosen to ignore this very important day? It is really sad, Disgusting and utterly shameful for all Indians who have elected this government.

Another Irony is we have a Pakistan Foreign Minister visiting us on this very day. The minister is young,good looking lady and our media & GOI seem to have got busy in welcoming this guest that they chose to ignore the “Kargil Vijay Diwas”. The Pakistan Minister , Hina Rabbani Khar began her two day Indian visit by first having a three hours meeting with Kashmiri Separatists Leaders in Delhi. How did the Separatists leaders who were under house arrest reach Delhi and have a 3hour long meeting with Pakistan Minister? When were they released & why were they allowed to travel to Delhi? This clearly shows that the back channels in the government have willingly allowed this meeting between Pakistan Foreign Minister and Kashmiri separatists. What is appalling is that four days back we have a Pakistani ISI agent Fai being arrested by FBI in US who was carrying out a Kashmiri agenda with ISI sponsored money. Many terrorism experts have been saying for many years that these separatists are also funded by ISI to carry out Pakistani agenda , which is anti Indian in Jammu & Kashmir.

On this very day the news that “Intercepts show Pak handlers guiding terrorists in Kashmir” came in NDTV. In this back ground i fail to understand how GOI and J & K allowed the separatists to travel to Delhi for a meeting with the visiting Pakistani dignitary. The Pakistani agenda is very clearly visible by the Ministers first meeting with separatists that it is dictated by ISI. It is very unfortunate that in our quest for Peaceful & meaningful friendship with our neighbors we neglect to respect & honor our soldiers who selflessly sacrifice their lives for us to live peacefully. It pains to see this kind of treatment meted out to our soldiers by the UPA Government. By deliberately avoiding the “Kargil Vijay Diwas” to please the Pakistani Guest and the Pakistani Establishment the UPA government has seriously erred in its National Duty.

My respects to all soldiers who keep their lives at stake to protect this great nation and its people…….
