Go back to our ancient dharma: M V Kamat
Kochi, Feb 2
Veteran journalist and former Chairman of the Prasar Bharati, Mr M V Kamat has exhorted that “we need to go back to our ancient dharma, which had been today totally destroyed in the name of secularism”.
The young minds needed to be imbued with human values, he emphasized while delivering the K K Bhandarkar memorial lecture on Human Values and Society, organised by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal.
Mr Kamat also said that the country was on the verge of becoming a super power with in the next decade as a result of the Hindu renaissance and an upsurge in exploration of knowledge due to the technological advancement.
He was quoted as saying that “the Hindu society was undergoing tremendous structural changes which need to be encashed. Simultaneously, there was also a need to create awareness about such developments among the younger generationâ€.
