Gharwapsi in Mumbai, 23 people from 8 Families become Hindu

May 3rd, 2015 Mumbai : In yet another Reconversion drive by Vishwa Hindu Parishad  around 23 Muslims and Christians from 8 families embraced Hinduism in Mumbai here on Sunday. The programme was organized at Masurashram Temple where all the Participants were called by VHP for the Shuddhikaran rituals. The Shuddhikaran Homam was conducted by Swami Ramkrishna Maharaj.

As per VHP Sources in total 19 Muslims from 6 families & 4 Christians of 2 families  converted to Hinduism. All participants had given applications to VHP to take them in Hindu fold with their signatures affixed on Application forms and as well as Affidavits consenting their conversion to Hinduism.

Those who returned back to Hinduism included 46 Years Old people like Mohammed Manzoor Shaikh who now became Ashok Kumar Upadhyay along with his family of 6 people said that his Grandfather was a Hindu Brahmin who had converted to Muslim in order to perform Nikah with his Grandmother however after meeting VHP volunteers his simmering wish to come back to his ancestral religion strengthened and finally he along with his family voluntarily attended this programme. Same kind of corroboration was reiterated by Tabassum Shaikh who became Dhrishti along with her son Aayman who became Pingkaksh, Aslam Shaikh, a poor Mason, who narrated his story after becoming Suresh Yadav along with his Wife and children, as he mentioned “ I had married my Wife Rukhsana but at the time of marriage I was called to Naya Nagar Mosque in Mira Road, Thane by some Muslim goons of the area  where I was forcibly converted to Islam and given a new name “Aslam Shaikh” but I was never happy but I was under constant pressure under those people.  However I sought help from Bajrang Dal, who finally liberated me from their clutches .From that day I was relieved thus I decided to attend this Homecoming event along with my Wife Ruksana (now Rukhmini) and 3 Children. There was also one Shama who converted and became Yashoda as she married a Hindu, There was one Nazma who was divorced by her earlier Muslim husband but now she decided to marry her Hindu husband thus she along with her 2 Children became Hindu.

All participants were given Certificates & their Name change requests were forwarded to Maharashtra Gazzette through E-Sewa branches.  As per VHP sources we are in touch with other families as well who are willing to return to Hinduism.

         The programme was also attended by VHP Dharmprasaar Konkan Pranth Mantri Shri Pralhadji Shinde, VHP Pranth Mantri Shri Ramchandra Ramuka, VHP Vibhag Pramukh Dharmaprasar Shri Adv. Anand Pande, VHP Vibhag Mantri Shri Parshuram Dubey, VHP Central Committee member Shri K.V. Ramchandran, Hindu Voice Editor Shri P Deivimuthu, Shri Priya Darshini Pant (M.D Metalpower Engg) and other members of Bajrang Dal and RSS.
