Describing conversion as an act equal to treason, the VHP central secretary Shri Mohan Joshi appealed to the countrymen to arrest it as it has become the reason of anti-national activities, cow slaughter, attacks on religious places and insult of Indian culture in the country. He said five states in north-east and the major part of West Bengal have today become centre of anti-national activities. It is due to the infiltration and conversion that the problems of Naxalism, Maoism and Jehadi terrorism have erupted. Inaugurating the training camp, Delhi Prant Sanghachalak Shri Ramesh Prakash Sharma said despite being the oldest civilisation the eternal principles of Hindu culture are fully capable to guide the whole world. Explaining the concept of dharma, Shri Dharmanarayan Sharma, Akhil Bharatiya Sah Dharm Prasar Pramukh, said we have to protect the dharma if we have to protect our culture, Math-Mandirs and the nation.

Shri Champatrai, joint secretary general of the VHP, described conversion as curse for the society. Ban on conversion, eradication of untouchability and restoring social harmony in the society are the founding principles of the VHP.
