Fatwa against Salman Khan , for attending Ganesh Puja
New Delhi: Daarul-Ifta-Manjar-e-Islam, Bareily based Islamic body has issued a Fatwa against Hindi Film actor Salman Khan for participating in Ganesh puja at the famous Lalbagh ka Raja Ganpati Mandal in Mumbai on Wednesday.
Citing Islamic principles the clerics claimed that Islam prohibits all kinds of idol worship and by taking part in Ganesh puja festivities, Salman has ceased to be a Muslim.
In its Fatwa, the organisation has mandated that Salman read the Kalmas all over again to be considered as a Muslim.
While attending the puja on Wednesday, Salman had said, “We believe in this. The energy here is spectacular. When we were kids, we used to come here and I have come here after a long time. Whatever I wanted, I have got.”
