Fanatic Mob killed Police in Bhiwandi

Mumbai:Two Policemen were stabbed and set on fire by a violent Mob of Muslims in Bhiwandi, situated around 70 kilometres from Mumbai. Police sources said that head constable Ramesh Jagtap and police constable BS Gangurde, were patrolling on a motorcycle when the incident took place. . A group of fanatic Muslims assaulted them with stones and knives. They were stabbed until they died and the bodies were then set on fire.


The bodies of the policemen were taken to their respective villages in Jalgaon and Nasik districts and cremated with full state honours. 


The rioting in Bhiwandi started Wednesday when a group of Muslims prevented the construction of Police Station near their graveyard. Police intervened after the mob tired to demolish the construction work. Three protestors died in the firing, while 25 police personnel were injured in the stone throwing.Seven buses and three police chowkies were burnt after police opened fire on a mob at Bhiwandi, Firing was ordered after policemen were attacked by a mob that had gathered to protest against the construction of a police station.
