Family members of ex CM of Tamilnadu, Karunanidhi had darshan of Lord Venkateswara. Daughter Selvi, Grand nephew Kalandhi Maran, Maran’s wife Kaveri and several other family members had the darshan of the Lord during VIP darshan time. Before this, they participated in seva of Vayulingeswara Swamy at Sri Kalahasthi. Inside this temple, near Mrithyunjaya Lingam, they had Rahu, Kethu Sarpa dosha nivarana pujas performed. The pujas were mainly in the name of Karunanidhi, Stalin and Kanimozhi. After the pujas, they had darshans of The Lord and his Consort and had special pujas performed for both. After the darshan, Vedic Scholars have blessed them near Mrithyunjaya Lingam. It caused some rift, when the media were asked not to take photos and videos. It has become a topic of discussion among devotees  of these pujas in the light of Kanimozhi’s jailing in the 2G spectrum case.
