Disrespect to National flag-NBW against Amir Khan
Indore: A court in Indore has issued a non-bailable warrant against actor Aamir Khan, in a case of disrespect to the Indian flag. The complaint was filed under Prevention of Insult to the National Honour Act of 1971 and relevant section of the IPC.
Aamir was the chief guest at a function organised by car showroom owners Ashok Rajpal and Rakesh Rajpal on August 16, in which 11 national flags had been hoisted. Firstly, the Tricolour was not removed even much after sunset. After it was pointed out to the hosts, it was taken down in a derogatory manner and later put on the ground, media persons present at the function alleged. Moreover no citizen can hoist a National flag apart on August 15th or January 26th ,the Republic day as per Indian Constitution.
Complaint in this regard was filed by an advocate Shailendra Sharma following which the court of judicial magistrate first class (JMFC) had issued warrants against him.
