Dismiss West Bengal State Government — Subramanian Swamy
The Centre should invoke Article 356 of the Constitution, and dismiss the West Bengal State Government for its failure to safeguard the Fundamental Rights of the people of the State enshrined in the Articles of the Constitution.
Already a glaring prima facie case for dismissal has been made out following the incessant genocidal killings of innocent villagers of Nandigram since mid-March this year. Moreover, the Governor of the State Mr. Gopal Gandhi has gone on record to say that the Left Front government has not done enough to prosecute the CPM criminals who killed innocent males and raped young girls of Nandigram.
The West Bengal police is also increasingly being used as a private army to settle scores of private moneyed people and CPM leaders, as the Rizhwan murder case, now entrusted to the CBI, shows clearly.
Hence, the Union Home Minister must call from the Governor a report on the law and order situation in the State, and then the West Bengal Government should be dismissed.
