Devraj’s noble walk for a noble cause

Hyderabad:Mr. Devraj, a 50 year  middleage man from Bangalore had taken up a noble cause and is creating awareness among masses and the way he chose is to Walk from Kanyakumari to Delhi.His main aim is to create awareness among people about the need of interlinking of rivers.

 He started to walk from Kanyakumari on 12^th January, swami Vivekananda’s birthday.Since childhoodhe  was  very much inspired by the preachings of swami vivekananda’s that “do something for your countries development”, now he is  practically following that quote.

Mr. Devraj a Manager in State Bank of Mysore  lives in Bangalore with his  wife, and a son.  He is  Karyakartha of RSS. He is highly inspired by Dr. APJ. Abdulkalam’s vision –2020 and is doing his small part to achieve his dream.

He is  addressing many seminars across the way of walk. Particpating many awareness programmes to propagate the benefits of interlinking  the rivers. He passed already two states Kerala, and Tamilnadu,  now he entered into Hyderabad.

 Talking with Samachara Bharathi , “ Interlinking of rivers  gives many advantages to the country. We can solve the irrigation, and drinking water problems. By interlinking of rivers we can recharge the 50,000 small lakes acroos the country. Our country having more than 12 lakhs hectares cultivated land,  but inadequate  management of water resources we are loosing so much. At least, now we should wake-up and initiate government to take the interliking of rivers project seriously by allocating proper funds” he says

He and his guru Dr. Kalyanraman has work out on this entire projects. The expected budget is 4,0000 crores. Before,the NDA Govt. had taken initiative for this noble cause and allocated funds for  Ganga-Kaveri  river linkage, but present UPA Govt. is trying to sabotage the project.

So,  what I am trying  to  say,  “appoint a  separate committee to implement river linkages project without any political priorities. Other wise it will takes  centuries to complete such projects. Regarding this,people of India should  put pressure on Govt.  of India to take necessary action for implementing the interlinking of rivers project.” He says

Mr. Devraj, again  resumed his walk on 10^th May . He is planning to reach delhi BY August 15^th by covering 3,000 kilometeres.So, Samachara Bharathi also make endeavour  of his noble cause. This the right time the  bureaucrats and political thinkers should take proper actions that’s what samachara Bharathi want to conclude, we appreciate his noble walk.
