Declare President’s rule in J&K: Dr Swamy

Statement of Dr. Subramanian Swamy, President of the Janata Party.

 
I demand that the Union Government recommend to the President of India to impose President’s Rule in Jammu & Kashmir, and hand over the law & order to the Army.

It is only the Valley in the State which is under the grip of violence unleashed by anti-Indian Jihadi forces. Jammu and Ladakh regions of the State are unaffected yet.

Hence, time is now to decisively end the speculation whether India will negotiate with militants, terrorists and other anti-nationals. Time is now to make clear that ‘Zero tolerance’ for terrorism means reducing terrorists to zero.

After President’s Rule is imposed, the Union Government needs to restore the religious demography of the State as required under Article 370 of the Constitution which demography  was disturbed because of the driving out of  500,000 Kashmiri Hindu Pandits and Sikhs.

Hence, the Union Government recruit  5 lakh ex-servicemen and with their families be asked  to go to the Valley and settle there. They should be given adequate funds to meet their expenses  and sufficient weapons to defend themselves.
