How vital is it for UPA to continue in power till early 2009?

Sonia has a past record of even lying just to get to power (and security cover); she had lied about the support she had to claim her right to form the government at the centre. I wonder why people do not realise that it is a matter of shame that they should rush to owe allegiance to a lady from Luciana. What price?- swarajyam?

It appears that it is so vital that deals will be struck with people who just returned from USA (Amar Singh’s recent return from a trip to USA).

It appears that the mating dance of CPI_M and lefties will continue and will refuse to participate in a vote of confidence which will bring down the UPA government.

Every one has a price and there ain’t no free lunch as they say in America. It is also not mere coincidence that Karats were also recently in USA.

One thing is clear. USA needs the nuke deal urgently to save its General Electric with nuke reactor contracts (as was done in China).

If the deal is not signed, skeletons will drop from the CIA cupboard exposing the dealings of the empress of 10 Jannpath. A person riding a tiger can’t dismount that easily.

There will be many speculations (as engaged in by LK Advani about the deals with Samajwadi Party) about what deals were struck for getting the Lok Sabha vote stitched up to prop up a dying UPA.

Politicos are not prepared to believe their own eyes when they are breathing their last.

Sonia should be refurbishing plans for a life in Luciana.

Manmohan has little chance of being a PM again and should be refurbishing plans to teach in, say, Oxford or Cambridge.

LK Advani is close to becoming the next PM of India. It is time BJP plays the cards of striking deals with regional parties particularly because BJP cannot come back to power without winning a majority of Lok Sabha seats in UP.

It should get ready its manifesto and a statement of principles which are non-negotiable for any future coalition arrangements.

I suppose the principles should include:

A declaration that what we have is the dharma constitution,

National water grid,

Setting up Indian Ocean Community,

Scrapping participatory notes,

Dismantling CBI chamcha-giri,

Restoring land for Amarnath pilgrims,

Declaring Manasarovar as cultural capital of India,

Deletion of Art. 370 from the Constitution,

Deletion of the words socialist-secular from the Preamble,

Uniform civil code,

Declaration of Rama Setu as Ancient Monument,

Start building Ramajanmabhoomi temple,

 Reclaim the Hindu temples of Mathura and Kaas’i,

Master Plan for developing the north-eastern states,

Masterplan for revitaling rural Bharatam,

Masterplan for empowering the panchayati raj institutions,

Assured electricity and tap-water supply to every village, every household,

Rs. 2 a kg rice for those in BPL category,

Dismantling state control over educational institutions,

Restoring the honor of the jawans by making the slogans Jai Kisan, Jai Jawan for real,

Ban anti-national violent parties.
