Dealing day to day corruption – The Congress way

A typical response from Congress spokesperson while cornered about the Corruption relays from one to another is this -Whenever corruption is reported against Congress leaders, Congress has taken action. Congress did not even wait for an FIR to take action against the leaders!
For example Spectrum 2G, Adarsh flat scam, CWG.

Let us see what is actually the fact in some of the recent cases.

CWG

CBI enquiry is going on for the past 2 months. Suresh Kalmadi who is the chairman of Organizing committee of CWG is having his free life and unfortunately he is still representing India in the Beijing Olympics irrespective of the huge scams of approximately 35000 crores of corruption unearthed in Delhi CWG.  CBI has not even questioned him once.

When corruption charges were made prior to CWG, congress requested opposition to help focus on successful CWG completion, but the time gained by this has helped to smuggle away many documents and whitewash many scams details.

Adarsh scams.

Once news on Maharashtra congress CM’s involvement in Adarsh scam, congress was bound to ask Ashok Chavan to step down. He was asked to wait till Obama’s visit to get over to tender his resignation. In place of him they searched for a clean image person as CM, finally appointed Prithviraj Chavan, but unfortunately he is also involved in another flat scam in Bombay. Now the latest on Adarsh is about few important document missing from the revenue office which was having CM’s recommendation in it.

The time given to complete Obama’s visit was used to clear up many crucial documents. Interestingly India’s Prime Minister has declined to comment on this scam so far.

Spectrum 2G.

DMK’s minister Raja has stepped down. But this scam was brought into notice of PM in a letter by Janatha Party Chief Dr. Subramaniam Swamy around 2 years back. No action taken. Now Supreme Court has termed it as mother of all scams. Why does the right hand not aware of what left hand is doing?  The connection between left hand to right hand is the head and brain. This will happen only if brain is dead or not functioning. This is the same case in Centre, the head or PM is non functional or he is a rubber stamp PM.

CVC appointment.

Congress has gone ahead and appointed a tainted PJ Thomas as Central Vigilance Commissioner of India, in spite of strong opposition by BJP opposition leader. Finally Supreme court had to intervene after a petition against tainted CVC. SC questioned how can a tainted CVC function against corruption in India? Interestingly PJ Thomas was accused in two cases, one in Kerala Palm oil import case and another Spectrum 2G. Palm oil case is being enquired by CVC’s Kerala unit. Do you think CVC’s Kerala unit will give complaints against its head at centre?

What does it mean? Did congress really take action against leaders or they tried to save their leaders? Answer is clear on the wall now.
