The National Commission for Religious minorities and linguistic minorities has said that it had received representations from various organizations of Dalit Christians demanding their inclusion in the list of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, official sources said.

The Commission, which is in the state on a fact finding mission, said that it was satisfied with the measures taken by the state government to protect the interests of the minorities. It said that the commission did not receive any complaints from the minorities in the state.

It will submit its report to the Central government in April next.

    Dear Friends,

We all should stand united against this Bill. It was due to the caste system related issues, many of our brothers got converted to a new religion. Christianity has no caste system. Its a shame that even after becoming a christian, they are called as Dalits… Then why they have shifted their loyality?

If they want to enjoy the benefits provided to the lower caste hindus, let them come back to HIDNUISM. They cant put legs in two boats at a time.

This should not be passed in Loksabha

    Sir,
It is preposterous that Dalit Christians should want to have the cake and eat it as well. Most of them got converted for money and to escape from the Hindu caste system. They thought they will be treated equally by their converters, but most of them have been demoralized. They are discriminated against by the Christian Church. It is like the story of the Greedy Dog,which is taught to nursery class children.Let others learn a lesson from this.If they are included in SC/ST list it would encourage further conversions. So we should oppose the move tooth and nail.
