Corrupt vigilance commissioner appointed by Congress

Congress lead UPA government has appointed P.J Thomas a close aid of Sonia as Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) in spite of protests from the panelists that he has no clean background to act as CVS. By appointing Thomas as CVC, congress has once again stooped to a new low in dealing with corruption and integrity.

What congress thinks as merit for Thomas to lead this post over the other two probable’s ? He was accused in palm oil import case earlier in Kerala, he is having close links to Telecom Minister Raja who is accused in 2G spectrum scandal, He is also very close to Sonia.
‘It is also surprising that the law ministry took just three days to give the opinion’ on such a controversial issue. The swiftnes in which various departments acted clearly shows congress’s interest in placing Sonia aid PJ Thomas as CVC.

The BJP boycotted the swearing-in of CVC at a ceremony Tuesday alleging that congress is placing a corrupt person at the helm of CVC and congress’s interest is to bury the 2G spectrum and various other allegations against the government through appointing Thomas as CVC head.
