Conspiracy to rob Hindutva from Hindustan – Dr Subramanian Swamy

published on January 1, 2015

Mavelikkara: Former Union Minister Dr Subramanian Swamy has alleged that a set of nations in the world are doing all they can to destroy the Hindu tradition of Bharat. He was delivering the key address to the audience on the topic ‘Hindus’ Social Dharma’ in connection with the Ramayana Mahasatram, organized in Chettikulangara Devi Temple.

Pointing out that the frailties and flaws of Hindu society were largely being exploited to make ulterior motives work, Dr Swamy said that religious appeasement  at its peak is being resorted to today, in the name of secularism. “There is no religious conversion when people return to the Hindu path. The ancestors of those born in Bharat are Hindus- so where does the issue of religious conversion lie? The existence of Hindus prevails in Bharat because of valourous men who have taken birth on this holy land.”

Calling for the need to implement Uniform Civil Code, Dr Swamy said that the same law should be applied to all citizens alike. “Bharat is the only nation where various laws and regulations prevail in a democracy. This has to be changed.”

Highlighting the continued instances of violence and harassement being faced by women in the country, Dr Swamy said that women always had a place of respect in Akhand Bharat. “But by aping the West, scenario for women in Bharat has turned unsafe. It is extremely perilous to harbor thoughts that Westernization will lead to development. What we require is available here itself. The greatest commitment lies in putting it to right use. That is where real progress lies.”

Reiterating the need for using Sanskrit language, the former union minister stressed on the need for studying the classical language. “Society can be elevated with the study of Sanskrit. What children are learning today, in the name of history, is nothing but episodes coated with falsehood. This has tarnished the country’s grandeur. But the present government will work its way towards rectifying this gross deed,” he added.
