Conspiracy to assassinate Swamiji held at Catholic Abbey at Betikala

It is reported on TV Channels that Special Cabinet Committee meeting has been called on Wednesday, 8 October 2008 to discuss the situation in Kandhamal

 

The following breaking story should be on the agenda of the Cabinet meeting. This concerns the clinching evidence produced (Oriya texts, Hindi translations) and reported on 6 October 2008 at

 The evidence points to conspiracy by christists to assassinate Swami Lakshmananda Saraswati. The assassination of Swamiji and his four associates was carried out on August 23, 2008.

 

The Oriya texts have now been translated into English and posted hereunder.

 

This is a serious situation calling for an immediate CBI investigation while ban is placed on church activity involving proselytization and evangelization. The Maoist-Christist alliance should also be thoroughly investigated and exposed. The culprits who conspired to assassinate the Hindu Swamiji and his four associates should be brought to justice. It is a welcome sign that Orissa Government has reported that two Christists have been arrested and one Christist is under police interrogation related to the assassinations.

Statement of Dr. Subramanian Swamy, President of the Janata Party

The 82-year old venerated Vedantic Hindu sanyasi Swami Lakshmanandaji Saraswati was assassinated on August 23, 2008. While the Maoist leader of Orissa has owned up the killing, the question now is who contracted the Maoists to do so. According to reliable information available with me, the conspiracy to kill the Swamiji was hatched at a meeting held on May 25, 2008 held at the Catholic Abbey at Betikala.

 

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Rev. Fr. Prafulla Kumar Sabhapati and convened by General Secretary of the Parish Council, Sri Prafulla Kumar Nayak. The names, signatures and attendance of all members present were recorded (in handwriting) on the Register (extracts in Oriya language at 1)

I demand that a High Court monitored CBI investigation u/s 120 B read with Sec. 302 be launched into this conspiracy to establish whether –

 

(i)                

such a meeting was held to resolve to assassinate the Swamiji, and give the contract for killing to the Maoists.

(ii)              

A Catholic Christian – Maoist alliance as shaped in Nepal exists in Betikala;

(iii)            

The Betikala Church owes allegiance to the Spanish terrorist outfit called the Opus Dei.
