NEW DELHI: AAP’s national executive member Ashwini Upadhyay, alleged that AAP and Congress had struck a deal in which they had decided that Congress would support AAP to make Arvind Kejriwal the CM of Delhi and Yogendra Yadav the CM of Haryana if they, in turn, supported Rahul Gandhi’s name for prime ministership in case of a hung assembly.
Ashwini has been openly critical of the party in the past month Addressing a press meet on Saturday, Ashwini said senior members of the two parties had met in Aman Hotel last year where this decision was taken. The party had gone soft on actual culprits who sold party tickets for the Lok Sabha polls and made escape goats out of the two persons it had expelled, he added.
