Comedy of errors- Tamil conference

via Aron published on July 5, 2010

The Vedic Rishi Agastya was asked to go south, and the reason being is imbalance- of consciousness of the world.

The Vindhya Mountain being told not to rise up and block the Sun’s path- is a mythical allegory to the necessity of a living Spiritual Nucleus in the wild Southern Forestlands- which extended even farther that now lies covered by sea.

French archaeologist Domino says, the real reason why Tamil history can be traced just up to the 3rd century BC and the rest is just Neolithic and stone age finds, is simply because not enough archaeological excavations have been done- especially offshore sites like Poompuhar and inland Arikamedu.

Even then he says enough pre-3rd century artefacts such as Trishuls Swastika, Yonis and Stone Lingams attest to pre-historic Hinduism of the South.

The breakthroughs that Parpalov claims to indicate a Dravidian script were based on Hindu mythology.

In fact, Iravadam mahadevan criticizes him for reading too much of Hinduism into Indus scripts, for reasonably there must be secular activities besides.

That may not be altogether right, since all activities in ancient societies elsewhere were heavily centric on religious myths- point taken, the most recent find of Jars and bangles- in the same Harappa expanse into Gujarat is now held to be World’s first Financial Stock exchange !

It was Iravadam who suggested the Script ‘Jar as Agastya!

Ironically, Iravadam too made his breakthrough by the similar allusion of ‘Soma Filter’ motif to the south Indian Shiva Temples where such a device is used for rites.

That way, and by having Wetzel, who with his too cocksure arrogant colleague who posed an Indus Seal with a challenge to decipher it with 10,000$ reward- all quite unbecoming of academic ethical behaviour, smashed with Computer studies bang on his head that nailed the counter- that Indus Script infact was a Script like any other.

Both of them have rendered service to the truth of Hinduism’s original roots being here, traced straight into Indus script.

But now what has happened is a comedy of errors- like Ravana who was a Brahmin was erroneously held to be their hero- by the political Dravidianianists.

Parpalov, in his Paper clearly dissociates any racial connotation to the word –Dravidian- except that it is Dravidian script.

So too, Iravadam had stated- “I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out that Indus civilisation is infact not very different to present Syncretic Hinduism’’

Coming to Agastya, who was the Founder of Tamil Language, and the First Tamil Sangam that went under sea, had no place because the adherents of obsolete racial Dravidian-Aryan sponsor- DMK wouldn’t have it.

Yet, Parpalov’s thesis stands on just that- Murukku and muruga and Skanda- which is linked to the famous seated Proto-Shiva seal, and aru-min, kirtika star= Kartik.

So when he started off on that, the body language of Karuna would have made them recant and fall in line with Political correctness- which has discredited them by this later compromise.

Tamil and Sanskrit are not two disparate languages, any more than Agastya was of two different religions.

Both had a common proto-Indian tongue and it is this that should be the Indus Script, infact from both Dravidian and Sanskritic lines- a fusion of languages.

Since Iravadam and company have been looking at it from “Dravidian”-Tamil, since other Dravidian languages are extinct, and others purely on sanskritic and Indo-aryan, both are unable to get the Script come deciphered-

Which indicates like Agastya the need to level both sides, and in balance let the sunshine unhindered?

Hindu symbolism would be the key.

Which is why parpalov asks even laymen to give it a shot.

I had already- and I know it is true-

For instance, the rhinosaurus seal with soma- in Tamil would read=

Khanda + Soma = somaskanda !
Besides, it is not such rocket science, and anybody with symbolic insights into Hinduism, and a grasp of both South and North indian tongues could decipher most of it.
The problem is, we dont have big tablets like Hammurabi’s code-
The longest chain of words is I believe 18 characters !
On top of it just 5 % of Hrrapan expanse has been excavated even partially !!
So we need towait for them.

There may be other Sanskritic-chandasic words that would, when all put together, be the Common Script of Indus Valley-since many people co-habited there.

If it was for securing resources for much needed project of deciphering Indus script-Iravadam and Parpalov can be readily excused, yet it doesn’t behove well of them.
