Coin released in honour of Sree Narayana Guru
Sivagiri (Varkkala): Five Rupee coin embossed with the picture of Sree Narayana Guru was released here by Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram. Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan received the special coin. ”His message of ‘one caste, one religion and one God for mankind’ has inspired millions of people in the country and it will continue to inspire many more millions in the future generations,” Finance Minister said at a function organised on the occasion of 152nd Sree Narayana Guru Jayanti Day celebrations.
Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana Yogam General Secretary Vellapally Natesan also spoke on the occasion.
