Can’t we ensure a decent burial for our brave soldiers ?

Soldier’s remains brought in noodle cartons

It was heart rending to read about the two soldiers who died at Siachen after their fibre glass bunkers got burnt in firing by the Pakis. It was agonising to read that their mortal remains were packed in two noodle cartons because coffins were not available. What is our Army Chief doing ? What is our Defence Minister doing ? In any other country they would have been forced to step down. Simultaneously, it was reported in the papers that the President’s car was upgraded with security features that cost a whopping Rs.7 crores ! What sort of a political and military set up are we having ?

The BJP is surprisingly keeping a low profile on such major issues. The only aim of A.K.Antony is to become the next President. To ensure that there is no controversey no major military purchases are made, everything is at a standstill. The entire Defence Ministry is busy fighting the age of the Army Chief, while nobody is bothered about Chinese intrusions in Ladakh. The Ex-Servicemen of this country should be alerting the MP’s and the people about the grave dangers caused due to non-procurement of military hardware and essential items like coffins. Can’t we ensure a decent burial for our brave soldiers.
