: Hundreds of Hindus activists including women conducted black flag demonstration against Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan and West Bengal counterpart Buddhadev Bhattacharya in protest against the killing of Hindu activists in Kannur by the support of state government and Police. The CP(M) leaders were arrived here to attend 19th CPI(M) Congress.

Police said the workers shouted slogans protesting the death of Hindu activists at Kannur and atrocities on farmers at Nandigram in West Bengal.

The agitators were led by BJP District President A Balakrishnan.

The agitation was in retaliation to the demonstration by the Communist party workers against Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the city some months ago.
