AMRITSAR:  L.K Advani, senior BJP leader Sunday rejected the joint control mechanism formula offered by Pakistan president Gen. Paevez Musharraf on Kashmir and said that BJP would oppose in in the parliament.

“This formula is not acceptable to BJP”, he decalred here while addressing election raliies in support of party candiates in Punjab assembly poll and Lok Sabha bye election where Navjot Singh is seeking re-election.

Advani criticised the combination of UPA government at centre. He said that communists, one of the major constituents of the UPA, recently announced nationwide strike against anti farmer and anti labour policies and rising inflation.

It was very difficult to comprehend that the communists, who participate in forming policies of the present government in the house, expressed their anguish against the same when they reach among people. They could hardly justify the difference between their words and deeds.

He contributed all these success stories to the people of India who had steadfastly kept faith in the constitution of the country. He said that a handful of people with vested interest had attempted to create a wedge between Sikhs and Hindus in Punjab but their close ties and faith in each other repulsed the vicious attack.

About controversy behind setting up of Special Economic Zones in the
country, he felt that model of BJP government run Gujarat government must be repeated across the nation. He clarified that they were not inimical to SEZ but way of establishing them without compensating farmers adequately.

Subsequently, Advani addressed another public rally at Town Hall in favour of his candidate Sunil Joshi from Amritsar north. He urged the electorates to vote for the young leader who was elevated from a simple party worker. He said that his election would set a good example among the true party workers that hardwork eventually pays.
