BJP leader Murdered, Police attack on Funeral procession,Two shot dead

Mangalore: BJP Leader Shivananda Shetty was brutally murdered here yesterday by suspected Islamic Terrorists. Shivananda Shetty, Mulky Grama Panchayath Member and BJP Party secretary of Moodabadri  unit was an efficient organiser and had massive support from the common people in the area.

A group of five persons, who travelled by a sports utility vehicle, assaulted Mr. Shetty at Kulai near here on Friday morning while he was going to Panchayath office.

The area is still tense and two more BJP supporters where shot dead in the area by Police. The police opened fire towards the convoy of funeral procession.BJP supporters Prem and Dinesh was shot dead and several others are injured.Curfew prevails in the area for next threedays
