BJP – JD(U) sweep in Bihar election

Patna: Trends available for all the 243 assembly seats in Bihar show the BJP – JD(U) combine has got 176 seats (BJP – 80 & JD(U)- 96) indicating that the alliance will form the next Government in Bihar.

Lalu’s RJD and Ram Vilas Paswan’s LJP managed to get 49 seats while the Congress party fared poorer than the last assembly elections and managed to get just 4 seats.

The BJP, which leads in 80 seats, more than 25 seats than last assembly election is the highlight of this election.
